Over the years, the media, movies and music have desensitized the public to the deadly consequences of gun violence. But trust and believe, gun play is no joke, and we ain't talking about the MMG artist. When bullets start flying for whatever reason, no good can come of the situation.
These artists rarely get a pass in instances where someone who is really about that life feels like they have a score to settle with them. Sometimes, rappers, who frequently label themselves as untouchable, floss gaudy fake diamonds and walk around with wads of money find themselves drawing the ire of people with itchy trigger fingers, warranted or not. We've seen it dozens of times before with the deaths of rappers who were felled by gun violence.
In many of those situations, as in the unsolved murders of The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac (who we didn't include in this list), if it comes down to pistol play, drive-by shootings are the strategy of choice.

Rick Ross
In late January 2013, Rick Ross was leaving his birthday soiree in South Florida when a vehicle approached the Rolls Royce he was driving in with his girlfriend and opened fire. Tyga
YMCMB rapper Tyga was performing in Omaha, Nebraska last March when things went left. Exchanged words between the “187” rapper's crew and concertgoers led to things being thrown on stage and a fist fight breaking out. While boarding his tour bus, a car pulled up and fired on the rapper and his crew. Tyga's artists Honey Cocaine was reportedly struck in the hail of bullets
T.I.
One person was killed and three others received injuries when T.I.'s tour bus was fired upon from another vehicle after leaving an after party in 2006. The shooting allegedly stemmed from an altercation that began in the club. After leaving the venue, the Kang's tour bus was followed by two vehicles whose occupants fired shots, killing Tip's personal assistant.

Obie Trice
Frequent Eminem collaborator Obie Trice was shot in the head while driving on the Lodge Freeway in Michigan back in 2005. The rapper and his girlfriend were riding when they were fired upon from another vehicle. Trice managed to keep driving and exited the roadway where his girlfriend flagged down police.
Cam'ron
Killa Cam was leaving Howard University's homecoming in 2005, when a group of men pulled alongside the Harlem rapper in a burgundy Expedition and attempted to relieve him of his 2006 Lamborghini. After refusing, the assailants shot Cam in the arms before speeding off. He managed to drive himself to a nearby hospital.
M-Bone
In May 2011, M-Bone (one-fourth of the rap crew Cali Swag District) was killed while sitting in his vehicle in front of an Inglewood, CA liquor store. According to witnesses, a vehicle pulled alongside the “Teach Me How To Dougie” rapper's car and fired two shots. Both bullets struck the entertainer in his head and he later died at a nearby hospital.

Young Buck
Last March, former G-Unit soldier Young Buck survived a drive-by shooting in his native Nashville, Tennessee. The rapper and his girlfriend were driving on Interstate 24 when a car pulled along and riddled the SUV they were driving in with 11 bullets. Buck's girlfriend was shot in the shoulder, he left the incident unscathed.
Lil JoJo
Aspiring Chicago rapper, Lil JoJo was killed in a drive-by shooting hours after tweeting his location, last September. The rapper, who was reportedly embroiled in a beef with fellow Chi-town rappers Lil Durk, Lil Reese, Chief Keef and the Black Disciples street gang, was riding a bike in the Englewood section of the city when a car approached and fired several shots. JoJo was struck in the back and later succumbed to his injuries.

Seagram
Rising Left Coast rapper Seagram was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in July 1996. The Rap-A-Lot rapper was reportedly in a section of Oakland called Twamps when he was killed in a hail of bullets. His murder remains unsolved.RIP SEAGRAM MILLER
Mac Dre
In 2004, Vallejo rapper Mac Dre was riding shotgun on a Kansas City, Missouri highway when a car pulled up on his vehicle and opened fire. The car's driver lost control and crashed before calling 911. Dre was announced dead at the scene.
