Councillors
under the aegis of Ogun State Local Government Legislative Forum on
Sunday endorsed Governor Ibikunle Amosun for a second term in office.
The 236 legislators from the 20 local
government areas of the state said this at a press conference in
Abeokuta to commemorate Amosun’s two years in office.
Addressing journalists in company with
all the legislative leaders in all the local government areas, the
Forum’s acting chairman, Adeniji Ibrahim, said OSLGLF was satisfied and
convinced by Amosun’s performance since he assumed power.
“Without mincing words, we can
conveniently and proudly say that the present administration under the
leadership of Governor Ibikunle Amosun has in the last two years
contributed meaningfully to the development and growth of the state. It
is on record that the administration has touched the lives of many
residents of the state positively,” Adeniji said.
He added that the governor had adhered to the implementation of the five cardinal programmes of the Action Congress of Nigeria.
The legislators also faulted the recent
comments attributed to Senator Gbenga Kaka, describing Amosun’s various
projects as white elephants.
