Last night New York City hosted fashion's biggest night, better known as the Met Gala 2013, but attendees were in for a treat as Kanye West took the stage to perform new songs from his forthcoming album, most notably the highly talked about "I Am a God."
Thankfully, attendees like DJ A-Trak of Fool's Gold, Jaime King, Teresa Palmer, and Coco Rocha were there to capture short stints of Yeezy's performance via their Vine accounts.
In the footage, West can be seen wearing a studded mask, shrieking "I Am A God," and telling Kim "not to worry what anyone says, that she's awesome."
Not much can be said about the song sonically due to the distorted volume in the clips. From what we can tell, it does reaffirm earlier reports from Hot 97 personality Peter Rosenberg that the album was "dark."
In a separate interview with Rolling Stone, known affiliate 2 Chainz said "You know I'm not going to tell you anything about that crazy-ass boy! Just know that Mr. West has some dope [music] on the way."
According to Team Kanye Daily, Vogue Magazine will release HD video of West performing "I Am a God" May 10, which is just days before he's scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live, May 18. Maybe his sixth studio LP will release June 18 after all.
