Tales of marriage crashing within and outside the entertainment circle has become so rampant that it barely makes news anymore, but when assault and wife battering is involved, it raises an alarm. There have been several cases of showbiz stars with failed marriages due to wife battering and the latest is that of yoruba movie producer Gbenga Oyeyiga who doubles as a director.
We learnt that the marriage of the dark complexioned young man has not only crashed but he may also appear in court soon for assaulting his wife Lolade. According to information reaching windzmediaonline, lolade packed out of their matrimonial home in JAnuary 2013 and has since moved back to her parent home. If going by the gist reaching us trouble started in their home late last year when lolade accused her husband of having an affair with a young lady who goes by the name Kemi. We gathered that Gbenga had brought Kemi into his matrimonial home under the disguise of a relative. Kemi lived with them for about one year before LOlade found out they were having an affair. When she confronted him, he beat her up and threatened to throw her out of their matrimonial home. Families got involved and the case was settled. On Sunday January 13th 2013 Gbenga was said to have come home drunk and when his wife challenged his reason for drinking so heavily, he accused her of having an affair with a Yoruba movie marketer Epsallum. In the process of trying to prove her innocence, Gbenga got upset and turned her to a punching bag, such that she was admitted in a private hospital for 3 weeks. a.
