The revolution will be televised, and this time it’ll be brought directly to you by REVOLT TV, via our new campaign called “I Am REVOLT.”
Over the next few weeks, I Am REVOLT will introduce its viewers to the members of the REVOLT TV team, who each fully represent the spirit and lifestyle behind the brand. In our first installment, we introduced you to our always-savvy Social Media Director Julian Mitchell, who filled us in on his passions and the road to becoming a member of the REVOLT TV Team.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be showing you sneak peaks into the different facets of REVOLT, from Social Media to On-Air Personalities to Producers to Videographers and designers. Our goal is to take our fans behind the scenes, build excitement about our brand, and most importantly, let the world know that REVOLT is open for business!
As excitement for the brand continues to grow, Diddy, the network’s founder, spoke with USA Today about the company’s goals saying “My mission [with REVOLT] is to bring kids back to television,” via live and “unpredictable” music news, performance videos and music videos.
“It isn’t just hip hop, it isn’t just an urban-based channel, it isn’t just rock and roll” Diddy continued. “We’re looking for greatness, we’re looking for great stars, we’re looking for people who have something to say. Our bar is extremely high; it’s highly curated. There are other places artists will be able to get exposure, but when you make it to REVOLT you will feel you’ve been authorized.”
Recently it was announced that Keith Clinkscales, former President of Vibe Magazine and ESPN executive, will be joining REVOLT TV and stepping in as its CEO.
Starting in 1993, Clinkscales played an integral role in building VIBE’s readership, growing the magazine over the course of six years into a cornerstone urban lifestyle publication and helping it (alongside the legendary producer Quincy Jones) reach over 700,000 readers. He also helped launch the publication’s digital site, VIBE.com, before moving on in 2005 to become the Senior Vice President and Head Of Content Development for ESPN.
