Former Oyo State Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has established Parrot FM, the first private radio station in Ogbomosho, his hometown. Alao-Akala, speaking at the inauguration of the station,
said it was established to fill the communication gap in the area. He added that a television station would soon be established. The former governor had, last month in Ibadan, the state capital, launched his bid to return to the Agodi Government House next year. His son, Olamijuwonlo, who is chairman of the station, said it was established to facilitate information dissemination to the people.
