StellaAdadevoh
Late Doctor Ameyo Stella Adadevoh has been honored with a posthumous award from the Rotary Club of Abuja, in recognition for her fight against the spread of Ebola which was first diagnosed in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dr. Adadevoh was responsible for detaining late Patrick Sawyer, the infected American-Liberian man who was the first person diagnosed with Ebola in Lagos. In an attempt to stop the further spread of the Ebola virus, she lost her life. She died on August 19, 2014.
The award was announced on Thursday, October 2 by the newly elected president of the group, Rotn Dr. Biodun Olusesi who said the late doctor made a huge sacrifice in defending Nigeria.
According to The Guardian
It is not unusual to award a posthumous award when it is well deserved in the case of Adadevoh. She is a physician to the core and she wasn’t ready to bend, and that saved the large number of people from contracting Ebola.
Well deserved!!! She truly deserves it. It is worthy to mention that the Federal Government of Nigeria has still not honoured the brave doctor.
